Everything your vessel needs — haul to splash
At Hemingway's Boatyard, we offer a complete range of professional yard services for vessels from 22 to 85 feet. Our experienced crew handles every step with care, and our pricing is published upfront — no surprises.
Whether you need a quick haul and splash, a full two-coat bottom job, or long-term storage, we've got you covered.
The backbone of any boatyard operation, our haul-out and launch service gets your vessel safely out of the water and back in again. Using professional sling equipment, our experienced crew handles vessels from 22 feet up to 85 feet.
We take pride in careful, deliberate lifts. Your keel, rudder, and hull are our responsibility from the moment we take the slings to the moment your vessel is back at the dock.
Immediately after haul-out, before the marine growth has a chance to dry, we perform a thorough high-pressure wash of your hull. This removes barnacles, algae, slime, and old bottom paint residue — giving you a clean surface for inspection or bottom work.
The power wash is a standard part of our haul-out process and is included in our bottom job packages. It can also be ordered as a standalone service.
Our bottom painting packages are the most popular service at Hemingway's. They bundle everything you need into one straightforward price — haul-out, pressure wash, blocking, antifouling paint (materials included), and 3 to 5 days of yard storage to allow for proper dry time.
We offer both one-coat and two-coat options. Two coats provide significantly better protection against fouling, especially for boats that stay in the water for extended periods in South Florida's warm, active marine environment.
Paint and all materials are included in the package price. If your hull requires heavy scraping beyond normal preparation, that additional labor is billed at an hourly rate — we'll let you know before we start.
Proper blocking is what keeps your vessel safe, level, and accessible during its time in the yard. Our crew positions jack stands and keel blocks under your hull's designed support points — the same locations the manufacturer intended for out-of-water support.
Improper blocking can cause hull stress, cosmetic damage, or worse. We take it seriously. Every boat that comes into our yard gets a blocking plan appropriate to its hull type and weight.
Our secure yard storage keeps your vessel safe and accessible while it's out of the water. Whether you need a few days between a haul and a bottom job, or an extended lay-up for the season, we have space for you.
Rates are based on the vessel's overall length and are charged on a daily basis. For extended storage, rates adjust on the 60th, 90th, and 120th day to reflect the longer commitment.
For boaters who want to keep their vessel in the water and close to the boatyard's full range of services, our slip storage offers a convenient, secure option with easy ICW access.
Slip storage is priced daily by boat length, and works seamlessly alongside our yard services — making scheduling a haul or bottom job easy when the time comes.
Haul/Launch rates: $10/ft (up to 50'), $12/ft (51'–65'), $14/ft (66'+) with a $300 minimum.
Multi-hull surcharge: Add 50% for two-hull vessels, 100% for three-hull vessels to haul/launch, blocking, pressure wash, and bottom job prices.
Additional hang time in slings: $150 per hour.
Yard storage rates increase by $0.25/ft/day on the 60th, 90th, and 120th day.
